About Y.E.L.P
The Youth Empowerment and Leadership Program guarantees fun and interactive group sessions! Youth and young adults can make new friends, acquire life, employment and leadership skills and explore self-empowerment tools that can be applied in their daily lives.
Program Goals
- Empower participants to learn how to advocate for themselves.
- Develop skills such as, leadership, time management, organization, problem solving, and life skills.
- Improve social skills and communication.
- Promote self-esteem and build self-confidence.

The topics covered during each session include:
Week 1:
Welcome to YELP, Stepping Outside of Your Comfort Zone
Week 2:
Setting SMART Goals & Planning
Week 3:
Developing Confidence & Leadership Skills
Week 4:
Self-Empowerment & Self-Advocacy
Week 5:
Financial Literacy & Independent Living
Week 6:
Organization & Time Management Skills
Eligibility
Y.E.L.P welcome individuals who:
Are youth or young adults between the ages of 14 -25.
Learn differently and/or have attention challenges.
Participants are grouped according to age in the following categories:
- Group 1: 14 – 17 years old.
- Group 2: 18 – 25 years old.
